Core Academic Skills for Educators
The Praxis Core is an educator exam that higher education institutions use to evaluate candidates for their teaching programs and certain states use as a prerequisite to licensing. It evaluates your math, reading, and writing skills across three tests to ensure you have a strong academic foundation for a successful career in education. You can take the three subtests separately or altogether.

Final Test Day Tips
Each section of the Praxis Core test is timed. Be sure to time yourself when taking practice tests to stay within limits on test day.
Get a good night’s sleep ahead of time and eat a filling, healthy meal before heading to your test.
Don’t skim a question. Tricky questions require you to read every word and pay close attention to what is being asked.
Bring your ID (your name on your ID and on your registration should be identical) and check your test center’s rules.
